Call for Participants – GSDM Initiative of “Data Governance for UHC”

Dear GSDM students,
We have carried on the project of Data Governance for Universal Health Coverage (UHC) as a GSDM Initiative in FY 2017. In this project, we collect the information on the current status of data governance and data analysis regarding health administration data, such as demographic and health statistics, health insurance claim data, and so on. A few countries and governments are doing well in terms of handling data and using data for policy research, and we will be able to learn some lessons from their experiences. For that purpose, we have a plan to visit National Taiwan University (NTU) Health Data Research Center in February. If you wish to participate in this visit, please apply for it by 10 AM on Monday, January 22. We look forward to your applications.

(leave Tokyo on Feb. 4 and return on Feb 5)
Place : Taipei city, Taiwan
Plan : (AM) Visit to NTU Health Data Research Center

(PM) Visit to Department of Statistics, Ministry of Health and Welfare
Travel expenses : Travel expenses between Tokyo and Taipei will be paid according to the regulations of GSDM/ the University of Tokyo.

【Application】
Please submit 1-page abstract to office@gsdm.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp by 10 AM, Monday, January 22, 2018.
It should contain the reason why you wish to participate and what you expect to learn regarding Data Governance for UHC.
The abstract should also contain name, email, course, grade, department, and name of your supervising professor.
If there are more applicants than the capacity, it will be a lottery.
