GSDM 6th Platform Seminar
“Frontiers of Research on Fisheries Resources”

The GSDM Global Seminar on “Frontiers of Research on Fisheries Resources” will be held on Thursday 6 March 2014. Two prominent scientists from the University of Washington with extensive international experience will share their perspectives on the state of fisheries resource science.

Prof. Ray Hilborn, a member of the Board of reviewing Editors of Science Magazine and the Independent Science Advisory Panel for the Presidential Commission on Ocean Policy, will share his experiences regarding the importance of scientists building up relationships with other stakeholders including governments and NGOs.

Dr. Michael De Alessi who has extensive overseas experience will share his views on the importance of drawing on a range of international perspectives when engaging in research activities.
