■Summary	:	This IEL will consist in the seventh session of our GSDM Book Club, namely a regular gathering of GSDM students and faculty who, having agreed to read the same book, meet to discuss its main themes in the light of the GSDM goals. For this session Ulrich Beck’s Risk Society. Towards a New Modernity (1992) (original German title: Risikogesellschaft. Auf dem Weg in eine andere Moderne, 1986) has been selected as reading. The IEL is opened by a brief introduction by Dr. Roberto Orsi, then the particular book of the evening will be discussed by all participants. Finally, participants exchange their ideas and proposals about the book to read for the next meeting. This IEL has been organized in the form of Book Club, in order to expand the intellectual horizon of GSDM students, by means of making them approach literary works and other books which can relate to the main topics of GSDM, particularly leadership, global affairs, inter-disciplinarity.
