The appropriate use of STI (Science, Technology and Innovation) has potential to dramatically accelerate progress towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). How is STI creating new growth pathways? Do developing countries follow growth trajectories of the advanced economies? What are the roles of governments, private sector and academia? Taking advantage of World Bank President Jim Yong Kim’s visit to Tokyo, we will discuss these issues.
