■Summary : This IEL will consist in the seventh session of our GSDM Book Club, namely a regular gathering of GSDM students and faculty who, having agreed to read the same book, meet to discuss its main themes in the light of the GSDM goals. For this session Ruth Benedict’s The Chrysanthemum and the Sword: Patterns of Japanese Culture (1946) has been selected.
 
This IEL has been organized in the form of Book Club, in order to expand the intellectual horizon of GSDM students, by means of making them approach literary works and other books which can relate to the main topics of GSDM, particularly leadership, global affairs, inter-disciplinarity.
