Call for participation—GSDM Initiative “Student dialogue with China’s key actors in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)”
This dialogue aims to help students identify challenges faced by Asian countries with a focus on infrastructure development. Students are invited to meet with researchers as well as professionals from China’s key actors in its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and to discuss how China and Japan could collaborate to bridge the huge infrastructure financing gap in Asia. Our target organizations include: Silk Road Fund (SRF); Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB); Ministry of Finance China; Institute of World Politics and Economics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS); Department of International Finance and Trade, Economics School of Peking University; People’s Republic of China Resident Mission, Asian Development Bank; and Embassy of Japan in China.
The dialogue is tentatively scheduled for a period from Wednesday, January 31 to Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Beijing. The number of GSDM students allowed to participate is limited to up to six. Only the round-trip economy class airfare, accommodation cost and per diem will be covered by GSDM budget.
If you want to participate, please submit your application via Google form by 17:00 on Friday, December 1 (Tokyo time).
Nomination will be made by Monday, December 11.
