Course Completion
(Students admitted in 2017 academic year)

  • Social Design and Global Leadership (2 credits, English)
  • 2 credits from Engineering Competency I - Project Based Learning -, or Case Study (PBL on the Medical, Environmental and IT Innovation and the Role of Public Policy)
  • *Regarding the above mentioned 1.2. make sure that you will earn the necessary credits during your first 2 years in the GSDM.

Among the list of the Comprehensive Coursework

  • 4credits from "Global society and public policy core"
  • 4credits from "Advanced science technologies core"
  • 2credits from "Issue solving core"

*Out of 10 credits above, at least 6 credits have to be taken from English-taught courses.

Starting from the students who will become D1 in 2018 academic year, all the credit of 1 - 3 be acquired by the end of D2.

*Two credits from the Global Society & Public Policy Core courses, two credits from the Advanced Science Technologies Core courses, and two credits from the Issue Solving Core courses or "Social Design and Global Leadership" must be taken before the Qualifying Examination.

*Two credits from the Global Society & Public Policy Core courses, two credits from the Advanced Science Technologies Core courses, and two credits from the Issue Solving Core courses or "Social Design and Global Leadership" must be taken before the RDW.

*The final examination including the submission of a supplementary paper and an interview, will be conducted after all of the above items are completed.

Note 1: The necessary fund for the International Project has to be procured by the students from the 2020 academic year. The possible source of fund may include the budget of applicant’s own laboratory, scholarships for study abroad, etc.
